Cheese Monster
Cassandra likes cheese. She is partial to shredded cheddar and shredded mozzarella (shown). Usually, she just takes a handful of the cheese and shoves it in her mouth. Today, she decided to play with her food a little. She shoved a huge handful in her mouth and let the rest just hang out. Our laughing the first time she did it probably encouraged her to continue doing it. That may come back to bite us.

Messing Around
Cassandra continues to climb on the furniture. Not only is it fun, she seems very proud of herself. To some extent, I think she likes the idea of using Mommy and Daddy sized furniture instead of having little stuff for her. She will sit at the table in an adult chair by herself at snack time. Of course, I don't trust her with anything messy, just drinks and crackers.
Cassandra blowing a kiss. She even add the "muh" sound before removing her hand from her face.

And after climbing down so she could climb back up on the sofa again, here is the little imp smiling with pride. "I'm Empress of the couch!"

Vincent's Second Birthday Party
Today, Cassandra hung out with friends; the official excuse to get together was Vincent's Second Birthday. It is funny in that looking at last year's pictures, it is obvious how much all the kids have been changing. I just don't see it because I see them all often enough that the change isn't big enough for me to notice. Some of the changes: Vincent's hair has gotten lighter, Cassandra has hair, Ian has opted to checkout of the baby hotel, etc.
We managed to miss getting pictures of all the kids...and when we tried to get some of the pictures it was funny how shy they got, despite knowing everyone. Just too many people around all at once. The twins were fine with me helping Daddy in the parking lot but inside, with that many people, they hung close to him. Anyway, here is a picture of Vincent blowing out his candle. It looks like he blew too hard as the candle looks like it is about ready to go over.

Another New Toy
As I've previously mentioned, we kept a few toys back from Christmas. Today, we introduced LEGO. Well, actually DUPLO. Cassandra seemed to be quite taken with them.
She won't put down the stretcher from the medevac helicopter. Cassandra also enjoys playing with the music box on her playpen.

Little Monkey
Cassandra has not been a fan of hats or mittens this past winter which is what makes these pictures so funny. She brought her monkey hat and mittens over to us because she decided they weren't so bad. Of course, as warm as March has been, she didn't need the hat or mittens outside let alone inside.

Another Birthday Party For Daddy
We celebrated Daddy's birthday with the Hodges clan today. It was interesting trying to schedule between one family coming back to town and another one leaving. Cassandra enjoyed the cheesy bread and the pasta for dinner...hardly a surprise given who her parents are. After dinner, it was time for presents. Cassandra was very helpful.

Fun With Mommy
Cassandra spent some quality time playing with Mommy while Daddy was partaking in the joys of homeownership. (Yes, still working on the bathroom. Projects goes faster when you can work on them for more than two hours at a time.)
Cassandra has been busy climbing on everything (including an attempt at the baby gate) and she is very proud when she makes it to the top.
And a video of the little monkey in action...
Of course, Cassandra is also working on cutting several molars. As a result, she has been making this face a lot.

Leftovers!
Cassandra has been mimicing us quite a bit lately. Here she is looking for food dropped in her bib. Her face lit up when she found a pear.

Dinner And Dessert
While Cassandra has been a fan of mac & cheese for a long time, she previously hasn't shown a lot of interest in red sauce on pasta. We continued offering it to her because eventually we knew she would eat it. She doesn't like the red sauce enough that she covers herself like Uncle Doug did when he was little but Cassandra is just starting out...you know, baby steps. She just doesn't get into it like she does some other foods.
The same cannot be said for chocolate. I think the drugged look is a result of this picture being taken after 8:00, almost bed time.

Daddy's Birthday
Due to scheduling, it was decided to have Daddy's Birthday with the Wendels a week early. Both Uncle Greg and Doug made it into town for the event. Cassandra impressed them with her love of chinese food. She demolished an entire crab rangoon and half of an eggroll.
After dinner, we returned home for presents and "cake." Well, really cup cakes. Prior to dessert, Cassandra entertained everyone with her music box.
