OK, practice time is over. Here Cassandra is dressed up (hood and all), ready to go out and trick or treat all night long.

Messy Eater
It seems I need to apologize to Uncle Doug. Turns out Cassandra is not "neater" so much as Cassandra isn't as nuts about pasta as Uncle Doug. However, put chocolate in front of her and apparently it is a much different story.
I surrender...which really means she has eaten the chocolate frosting off and there is nothing worthwhile left.

Trunk N Treat
As part of the Halloween festivities, our church does a Trunk N Treat. Among other things, it allows us to do our trick or treating during daylight and also before Halloween in case of bad weather.
Cassandra isn't one of the kids that goes around and grabs stuff (just because) and moves on. Oh, no. She is very careful about evaluating the treats even after they have been selected.
After reviewing her take, she looked around and set off to get some more goodies.

The Start Of Halloween Festivities
Well, today marks the beginning of Halloween. Per Hodges family tradition, Cassandra is required to dress up as Little Red Riding Hood at some point. Since we happened to find a costume at the store when looking for outfits (and given how much she liked it in the store), we went ahead and got the outfit. She is very excited about her outfit.

Fun At The Louisburg Cider Mill
For a change of pace, Cassandra traveled out the the Louisburg Cider Mill for some family fun. She enjoyed the slides, especially since she had someone going with her.
Cassandra also enjoyed picking pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. However, I don't think she understood she was just supposed to get one pumpkin. Here she tricks Cousin Samantha into holding the pumpkin for her while she heads off to try and get another one.

Trying To Fill Daddy's Shoes
It seems to be a right of passage that children try on their parents shoes. Cassandra has a way to go before she can wear Daddy's without falling over when she tries to walk. Still, it makes it easier to forget that children have oversized heads relative to their body, right?

Wrapping Paper Is Better Than Presents
Cassandra likes to open presents...and she doesn't like to sit and watch other people open presents without her help. During Aunt Kristi's birthday party, Cassandra is distracted by Cousin Samantha thus keeping her from getting into too much trouble.

Mmmmm. Bread!
Dinnertime is generally fun. Cassandra interacts with us and seems to really enjoy eating real people food. Given how much Uncle Doug liked "getti," I can only say watching her is like watching history repeat itself. Cassandra is much neater, although in Doug's defense I will say that penne noodles are much easier to eat with a fork than spaghetti noodles.
Mid sneeze? Well, she just looks silly. I'll need to tease her about it when she is a teenager.
Mmmm. Bread! I'm pretty sure she gets this from Daddy. Mommy likes bread but doesn't shove the whole thing in her mouth. Notice how good her table manners are? She even uses silverware on breadsticks.

More Silliness With Clothing
After stealing Mommy's hat and putting on her mittens, Cassandra decided to entertain us. I wonder if the reason we are so entertained by Cassandra is because she is our child or we just need more sleep.

Trying On Clothes
Now that Cassandra is up, she is ready to try on her wardrobe. Grandma Wendel made a dress for Cassandra to wear and here she is proudly showing off the outfit.
Sleeping Beauty or Sub-Optimal Placement
Here is what we found this morning when going to get the Empress up for the day. I don't understand how she does it. If my foot wasn't covered, I'd be cold. I also don't understand how she doesn't notice when she moves around in her sleep.
