A Fresh One

After much procrastinating (which Daddy claims is a result of genetic donation from the maternal parental unit), [Future Empress] Cassandra Ann saw fit to grace us with her presence.

Mommy and Baby are well.

Weight: 7 lbs, 4oz         Length:  21.3 inches
The sheen around her eyes is antibiotic gunk (yes, I know, highly technical medical term).

Baby Eviction

We arrived at KU Med at 20:00 on Monday, December 27, so the doctors could begin the eviction process.  Here are some pictures of their newly remodeled Labor & Delivery Ward with faux hardwood floor, landing lights (mounted in the ceiling of all places), and walk-in shower.

New Neighbor

It looks like the neighborhood rodents are in for a hard time.  Our new neighbor seems to like the garden I built for Janice.

White Christmas

I don't need to dream about a white Christmas.  I can look outside and see the real thing.

I Like Maple Trees

It is fall and the trees are turning.  Here is a gorgeous maple in our back yard.

A Return On Taxes

Earlier this year, we used our tax refund to buy a new camera for Janice.  She has had some fun trying it out.  I'm amazed that the camera was fast enough to make catch the hummingbird's wings mid-flap.

New Hardware

While Robert and I were working to install new door hardware on the front door, Janice snapped the picture below.

Robert is not nearly so scary as the lighting makes him look.

We have installed the new hardware in the door (including drilling holes as previously there had been no deadbolt) and now are working on the strike plate.
