Tired!

Cassandra didn't want to go to sleep which was a bit of a problem as she was so tired that she was grumpy.  She was really being obnoxious, wiggling, and crying in order to stay awake.  Apparently, the effort to get her to sleep caused me to drop off as well.  See Janice's handiwork below.

Spring Has Sprung Part II

Don Juan is blooming.  This climbing rose was donated to us last fall and it clearly likes its new home.  It is amazing how much stuff we have fit in our back yard and a lot of it has been hand-me-downs.

Toes!

Cassandra has taken the discovery of her toes as the greatest thing since bottles.  She loves to yank on them and they are great to gnaw on.  She must get her flexibility from Mommy because I sure can't do that.

Entertaining The Family

The Hodges clan assembled for Mother's Day tonight and afterword, Cassandra did her level best to entertain the family.

Spring Has Sprung

Harison's Yellow has gone crazy.  It is amazing as this plant was a small cutting just a few years ago.

I Found My Toes

Cassandra's latest discovery is toes.  She has now realized that she can put her feet up in the air and grab them.  She thinks it is great fun to roll from side to side while holding onto her feet.  The interesting thing is that she doesn't remove her socks this way.  That task she accomplishes by rubbing her feet together.

Early Mother's Day

Since the entire family was in town (Uncle Greg was attending a wedding), it was decided to celebrate Mother's Day early.  As part of the festivities, we sat down at Papa Bob's Bar-B-Que for lunch.  Uncle Greg, Uncle Doug, Grandpa Wendel, and Daddy all shared the Ultimate Destroyer.  The entire meal includes 4.5 lbs of meat and 1.5 lbs of fries.  As to the meat, there were seven types:
  1. pulled pork,
  2. hickory smoked sliced pork,
  3. hickory smoked ham,
  4. hickory smoked turkey breast,
  5. hickory smoked hamburgers,
  6. hickory smoked beef brisket, and
  7. hickory smoked sausage.

We all left full.
