Harison's yellow has bloomed. Cassandra is very excited because it is yellow. She really likes yellow.

She Said No!
Cassandra is an interesting child. She doesn't say either "yes" or "no" but shakes and nods her head. Tonight, when we asked her to do something, she said "No!" This was a big shock to us as she has been shaking her head for a long time. This has been a big week for her as far as new words are concerned. She is starting to say her colors as well. So far, we have heard yellow, blue, purple, and as of today, pink. I think it helps that those were the color of sugar that she helped put on the Easter cookies.

Easter Cookies
Mommy decided to make cookies and Cassandra agreed to help. I'm not sure what she enjoys more, being up high enough to see the counter or playing with the sugar sprinkles.
Cassandra is learning her colors. What is funny is if you ask her what color something is, her standard answer is "lellow." She just really likes to say this word.
She can say yellow, purple, and blue.

Easter Egg Hunt
Today, we had our Easter Egg Hunt at church. Given Cassandra was 15 months old this year, we were able to stand back and let her loose. She quickly filled up her basket and as you can see, it was a target rich environment.
Unfortunately, she did step on one egg. Take a look at the face she is making while saying "uh, oh."
And finally, what toddler outing would be complete without the toddler getting distracted?

Cheese Monster
Cassandra likes cheese. She is partial to shredded cheddar and shredded mozzarella (shown). Usually, she just takes a handful of the cheese and shoves it in her mouth. Today, she decided to play with her food a little. She shoved a huge handful in her mouth and let the rest just hang out. Our laughing the first time she did it probably encouraged her to continue doing it. That may come back to bite us.

Messing Around
Cassandra continues to climb on the furniture. Not only is it fun, she seems very proud of herself. To some extent, I think she likes the idea of using Mommy and Daddy sized furniture instead of having little stuff for her. She will sit at the table in an adult chair by herself at snack time. Of course, I don't trust her with anything messy, just drinks and crackers.
Cassandra blowing a kiss. She even add the "muh" sound before removing her hand from her face.

And after climbing down so she could climb back up on the sofa again, here is the little imp smiling with pride. "I'm Empress of the couch!"

Vincent's Second Birthday Party
Today, Cassandra hung out with friends; the official excuse to get together was Vincent's Second Birthday. It is funny in that looking at last year's pictures, it is obvious how much all the kids have been changing. I just don't see it because I see them all often enough that the change isn't big enough for me to notice. Some of the changes: Vincent's hair has gotten lighter, Cassandra has hair, Ian has opted to checkout of the baby hotel, etc.
We managed to miss getting pictures of all the kids...and when we tried to get some of the pictures it was funny how shy they got, despite knowing everyone. Just too many people around all at once. The twins were fine with me helping Daddy in the parking lot but inside, with that many people, they hung close to him. Anyway, here is a picture of Vincent blowing out his candle. It looks like he blew too hard as the candle looks like it is about ready to go over.
