Daddy's Birthday

Cassandra was excited today because "everyone" was coming over for a party.  It doesn't matter what the reason for the party is, just that she gets to see family...I think she gets tired of Mom and Dad all the time.

Cassandra saw the LEGO sign and decided to come over and help.  The box was bigger than her but that was no deterrent.  She asked if she could help put it together.

As she has been trained to do, she is taking the bow from presents and putting it on her head.

Fun And Disappointment At The Grocery Store

In looking at grocery store adds, we found out that the Wienermobile would be visiting the grocery store near church.  I thought this was a must go event while Janice thought I was weird.  In the end, I was able to prevail because it was kind of rainy and we had nothing important we needed to get done.

Cassandra like looking through the hole in the hot dog to have her picture taken.

Cassandra was curious about the hot dog on wheels.   She did say uh-oh when she saw the interior.  The carpet looks like it was splattered with condiments.  She was gravely disappointed that she wasn't allowed loose inside to push all the buttons and try all the seats.

Another Load Of Snow

I guess this is one of the winters that wants to prove a snow thrower is a necessity around here.  We got pounded yet again.  The snow this time was pretty wet.  Note how the tree on the left in the first picture is coated and how the tree branches are sagging under a lot of weight?

Some of the neighbors decided to make the most out of it and showed off their artistic ability.  It is too bad they have such poor taste in subject matter.

They did have a bit of a Calvin & Hobbes moment.  In case you cannot make it out, one snowman has removed the other snowman's head and used it as a bowling ball.

Ride 'em Wildcat Girl?

So with the weather being a bit nasty, Cassandra has had to make due with her inside toys.  Here she is riding Willie Wildcat like he was a horse.

Playing In The Snow

This is not Cassandra's first winter but this is the first time she has gotten to go out and play in the snow.  Last winter was a bust even though she was all outfitted for inclimate weather.  She never got to really use the 18M snowpants.  Well, maybe her little brother or sister will get to use them down the line.

For now, she is running around in an oversized 3T jacket, "ski" hat, and mittens.

Cassandra tried to help Daddy with all the snow.  The reality is that it was so deep, she was not able to accomplish much except for the little bit the snow blower left behind.  The shovel she had was almost as tall as her!

Grandma's Birthday

Cassandra enjoyed Grandma's birthday.  She likes going over to Grandma's house and seeing family.  Mom and Dad are constantly telling her how to behave but she has figured out she doesn't actually need to listen.

And yes, she still puts bows on her own head.
